A kitchen garden is more than a charming hobby. It is an expression of caring for your family and your community.

About Growin’ South

Growin’ South started out of our multi-generational home in Woodstock, Georgia. We each had a niche- a love for flowers, veggies, herbs, landscaping, raising chickens, and creating ways to make the way we live sustainable and helpful to the environment. Creating our little suburban “farm” was a lot of work! But once we got the hang of it, we wanted to come alongside our friends and share what we had learned along the way. That is how Growin’ South was born!

Hi, I’m Erin Thompson!

As an avid cook, growing my own herbs and vegetables had been a long-time dream. When we bought five acres, that dream began to materialize!

Family

Both gardens and families need attention and care. We love our multi-generational household. From the youngest to the oldest, we share stories, food, and a lot of laughter!

Food

Grow-Cook-Eat! A kitchen garden has allowed our “cheffy-skills” to emerge. New recipes inspired by fresh produce encourage even the pickiest eaters to give veggies another try.

Fun

Mealtime at our house is the one time the whole family can gather and share our daily stories. Inevitably, laughter accompanies food. My, what a garden can do!
